Climate change is among the most-discussed topics in our society today, but few textbooks cover it well. Attend this re-offered workshop on Mar. 7 at the Maine Mathematics and Science Alliance offices in Augusta to learn how to use technology to bring the concepts of climate change alive for your students. Chad Dorsey from the MMSA and Deb Avalone-King from the Maine Department of Environmental Protection will help you think about ways you can help students dig into climate change ideas.
Acadia National Park Seeks Three Teacher Rangers

The Teacher to Ranger to Teacher (TRT) Program links National Park units with teachers from low income school districts. Under this program, selected teachers spend the summer working as park rangers, often living in the park. Acadia National Park is involved with the Teacher to Ranger to Teacher Program and has three positions available for Summer 2008.
