The “ARTS, INNOVATION and CREATIVITY” Spring Institute at the Samoset Resort is over, but the learning and collaborating is just starting.   • Monday's keynote luncheon speaker, Tim Sample, explained "How Art Saved Tim" on his journey through education. You can hear his special perspective on technology, education and life in Maine as he knows it. There were over 30 hands-on creative and imaginative professional develop opportunities. Some of the slide shows and materials appear in the "Files" and "Links" listing.
    • "Digital Imaging and Photo Emulsion Silkscreen Printmaking" Carolyn Brown and Russell Kahn PowerPoint Slide Show; Eco Art: Making Art and Making a Difference" presented by Cynthia Robinson - teacher team artworks;
    • Interdisciplinary connections between the arts and creative thinking in other Maine Learning Results content areas utilizing technology;
    • innovative instruction, curriculum and assessment that linked between at least one arts discipline (music, dance, theater or visual art) and at least one other content area from the MLR’s (Career and Education Development, English Language Arts, Health Education and Physical Education, Mathematics, Science and Technology, Social Studies, World Languages);
    • there were unique learning opportunities for educators utilizing technology to impact teaching and learning for all students.
